Areas of interest
Communication disabilities: Down's syndrome, children and young people with speech sound disorder and language disorder, well-being and mental health, health inequalities.Speech and language therapy: investigating the effectiveness of early intervention to enhance language for young children with Down syndrome; working with parents/carers to improve outcomes for children with communication disability; accessibility of services.
Family perspectives: investigating family policies on heritage language use; experiences of accessing services in the context of communication disability
Clinical research: patient and public involvement and engagement, clinical audit, evaluation and research methods, clinical research capacity building.
