Areas of interest
With respect to research, Kieran Lee’s principal research interests are in:
- Professional regulation, discipline, liability, and employment/labour law;
- Commercial, company, and corporate law;
- Chancery and private client law;
- Sustainability and environmental; food and waste, and animal rights and welfare law; and,
- Jurisprudence and socio-legal studies.
In addition to LLB dissertation supervision, Kieran Lee welcomes applications to supervise LLM (primary supervisor) and PhD (primary or secondary supervisor) projects covering commercial, company and corporate law; professional regulation, discipline, and liability law, and employment/labour law: please see the School of Law, 伊人直播app admissions webpages for information on the application process. He has previously acted as a Finishing Supervisor for MJur/PhD projects in the aforementioned areas (University of Durham), and is currently an LLM Supervisor and PhD Supervision Monitor for the School of Law.
Alongside work published or forthcoming in a number of leading journals or edited collections, Kieran Lee is Academic Editor of Jackson & Powell on Professional Liability, a major text forming a part of the prestigious Common Law Library by Sweet & Maxwell (Thomson Reuters), in partnership with the leading commercial set 4 New Square, London. He earlier joined A Dictionary of Law, by Oxford University Press, as Contributing Editor, and presently undertaking research for two long-term publication projects. With respect to teaching, Kieran Lee is experienced in three core areas, which he has taught or supervised at undergraduate and postgraduate level:
- the law of property (land) (伊人直播app, University of Cambridge, King’s College London, and the University of Durham);
- the law of equity and trusts (伊人直播app, Cambridge, King’s and Durham); and,
- the law of employment/labour law (伊人直播app, Durham and the Freie Universität Berlin).
His current modules at the School of Law include:
Kieran Lee has previously taught the law of tort (Birkbeck College, University of London) (as a postgraduate teaching assistant) and legal systems and methods (England and Wales and comparative) (Birkbeck and FU Berlin) (as a postgraduate teaching assistant and visiting professor).
Alongside his teaching and research, Kieran Lee assumes a number of School and University level responsibilities, which include acting as Director of Academic Tutoring and Academic Tutor and as Module Convener and Tutorial Leader.
